VBYSA Recreational Spring Program

Information

Please read all of the following before beginning registration. Registration link at the bottom of this page.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

 Registration is open to boys and girls ages 4-15 that reside or attend Van Buren, McComb, North Baltimore, or Elmwood schools. Registration will close February 7th. Any player added after February 7th will be accessed a $20 late fee. No players will be accepted after February 11th.

 - Family Discount: The first family member pays full price. The system will deduct $5 for each additional player.

 - When you register your child, they are automatically placed in an age bracket based on their birth year. VBYSA will place them in the proper age group the Black Swamp Soccer League uses. For example, if your child was born in 2012, registration will show them as U9 age group. We would place them in the U10 division for BSSL.  Soccer age divisions stay the same for the Fall and Spring season (just like a school year).  Your child will be in the same division as they were in the Fall 2020.
* If your child played up a division in the prior season, they may be placed in the same division unless requested otherwise. If you would like your child to play up a division, please note this request when registering your child.

 - You must upload a BIRTH CERTIFICATE for your child. Hospital records are not acceptable. Your child will not be able to play until we have a birth certificate uploaded. No exceptions!

 - All parents will need to read and acknowledge a Parent's Code of Conduct before completing registration.

 - *New this season* Please enter any/all special requests into the special requests section of this registration system when registering your player. VBYSA will attempt to accommodate the requests entered at registration.
VBYSA prefers not to receive special requests via Facebook, text, and/or email. 

 - If you are paying by check or cash, payment must be postmarked before the registration deadline for the player to be registered. Make checks payable to: VBYSA PO Box 52, Van Buren, OH 45889.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

- Players will be notified in March of which team they are on. The coaches who are donating their time will determine when practices will be.

 - U6 is In-house with co-ed teams. Beginning April 5, eight home scrimmages. U6 players will meet two nights a week for one hour each night. They will have a half hour practice followed by a half hour scrimmage.

 - U8 is In-House with co-ed teams. Two weekly practices will begin Mid-March. Eight home scrimmages (weeknights and Saturdays) will begin March 27th and end in May. (This is the same structure as Fall 2020)

 - U10 is traditional play within the Black Swamp League. Two weekly practices will begin Mid-March. Eight games (weeknights and Saturdays) will begin March 27th and end in May. Theses game will be a mix of home and away games.

 - U12 is traditional play within the Black Swamp League. Two weekly practices will begin Mid-March. Eight games (weeknights and Saturdays) will begin March 27th and end in May. Theses game will be a mix of home and away games.

 

VOLUNTEER:

- Please volunteer your time! Head coaching, assistant coaching, field set-up, field tear-down, field painting and other tasks are completed by volunteers. Please consider helping in this capacity.

 - Coaching: Choose Coach as the volunteer option when registering your player. Additionally, please send an email to VBYSoccer@gmail.com or VYBSAdirector@gmail.com with your best contact information. Please also include your child(rens) names of the team(s) you'd like to coach.

 - Field Work: expect to receive a SIGNUP GENIUS email sent to the email saved in the affinity account. This SIGNUP GENIUS email will allow you to choose a day/time to fulfill your volunteer hours.

 - If you do not choose a volunteer position when registering, you will be assessed a $75 deferral fee per player at time of check outIf your volunteer commitment is not fulfilled during the season you will be assessed the $75 deferral fee, to be paid at the end of the season.
